Alpha Pale Ale named Australia’s bestAlpha Pale Ale


Matilda Bay Brewers Reserve’s Alpha Pale Ale was named champion beer at the Sydney Royal Beer Competition, part of the Sydney Royal Fine Food show. The Fremantle, Western Australia brewer also won a silver and four bronze medals at the show.

Other big winners were Sydney’s Redoak Brewing who took two gold, five silver and eight bronze, Taylors Arm’s Murray’s Craft Brewing who scored one gold, two silver and one bronze, and Hunter Valley’s Hunter Beer Company won three silver and two bronze.

  • Redoak Special Strong Bitter - Redoak Brewing (Amber and Dark Ales)

  • Redoak Special Reserve - Redoak Brewing (Strong Beers, minimum alcohol content 6%)
  • Murray’s Grand Cru - Murray’s Craft Brewing (Strong Beers, minimum 6% alcohol content)
